lemme know...

It so much fun rockin' with my band The OakTeam! ...and I wouldn't have it any other way! If I had to choose how to rock it would be like this, more often and more widespread mind you, but just like we do it every night. But as hard as it is to admit, it is so limiting to our target audience. Yes, the folks that love our music are older. I noticed this playing with Jason and The Scorchers last weekend. It was white hair followed by white hair....Not that I mind that you're as old or older than me when you come to the shows, I just wanna know how to get in touch with you and let you know about future shows! Garrison Keillor AIN'T inviting us on his show! We rock too damn hard for that! ...and we won't get seen on MTV's THAT METAL SHOW cuz #1: we ain't metal and #2...uh...we don't WANNA be on that show! So...how do we find you so that you can find us? House concerts? Turn down? Acoustic shows? Go Country until we can't stand it anymore and have to kill ourselves?..or is rock and roll really dead? The folks in Ohio and Europe don't think so...

I'm a big fan of house concerts. Several of my favorite shows were in that setting, Phil Lee and also the $2 Pistols particularly come to mind, the lead singer was a hoot. I haven't really been able to find those since Tim of the Afternoon Nap Presentations in Chapel Hill/Durham passed. Those had a nice, consistent crowd who seemed to turn out even if the band was a somewhat unknown entity. If you do go that direction it would be great to spread the word if the shows are ever open. Maybe I'm just out of the loop and those have continued on somewhere?
