I wrote a couple of songs with Tim Krekel in the early 90's, when I was forced by BMG to go to Nashville and try to write HITS! Tim was one of the highlights of one of those trips. We did like Dan and I do, we just got together, sat in a room and laughed. Songs usually come of that, and they did pretty quickly with him. I was with him no more than an hour and a half and we had a couple of goodies ready to go and one ended up on one of his records. He was a bunch of fun and I was really hurt finding out today that he had passed away. He was close to me in age and I really felt a connection with him as a writer. To say he will be missed is not enough.

I remember his band The Sluggers. I think the ol' QDR used to play "Over The Fence" a lot. Man, I haven't heard that song in years! I could definitely tell there was a link there 'tween them and what y'all were doing. Funny how you two ended up working together years later in NashVegas. Sorry to hear about his passing.
