Whew!

Well, it looks like my “vacation” is about over. Having not worked a serious day since Thanksgiving or so, I was relieved to get the call yesterday that my estimate was accepted on what, for me will be a good month of non-stop ass kickin’ work. I can’t say it hasn’t been fun though. Well, YES I can! IT HASN’T BEEN FUN! The walls in my house are full of holes that I’ve stared in them. The dishes have stayed clean and the clothes are always washed, but I guess that’s a plus. I did a little yardwork, as much as you can do when its 20 degrees outside! This week it snowed about 6 inches so I had to gather wood and keep a fire going. That was fun. I did some sledding too, which really was! I’m 53 years old still running down a hill and diving on a sled. One of the things I’ll miss (NOT!) by going back to work is the phone sex with the debt collector lady. I’ve learned that if you turn it into a love call they back off for a while. I’m looking forward to getting them off my back in the next couple of weeks. Luckily, Nathan’s been suspended from school to keep me company. He always wants to show me something stupid that he’s found on TV. My favorite new find is “RuPaul’s Drag Race” on VH1 (I think). The drag queens in that fashion show are mostly NOT hot and some had outfits on that made me cry laughing. There was big ‘ol “Mystique” and her “raggedy as hell” dress and that other “lady” with the colored ear of corn dangling from “her” wrist. “She’s got co-ern hangin’ from her ha-end!” said Ru. When did an ear of corn become high fashion? Needless to say, “she” lost. Good times, good times…I’m gonna miss standing/sitting around and doing nothing…uhhhh….NO! I’m NOT!
