CD: The Olympic Ass-Kickin 'Team
Terry Anderson is an old song smith. Most will know him as the man behind hits such as Battleship Chains (Georgia Satellites) and I love you Period (Dan Baird). But with his own band, The Olympic Ass-Kickin 'Team, he also hits for years, but unfortunately not the top get so much. The OAK team moves somewhere between Stones, Faces, Chuck Berry and Dave Edmunds in. Timeless rock n roll. On this new CD, National Champions, are still a few trips to soul by: Terry Anderson over here I think even the Stones to the crown. In Is we or is not we heard an echo of The Who. Wilde Anderson in the past even though some songs between pubertal stop on this new CD remain happy place. What remains consistent is a CD full of pop, rock n roll, roots and soul packed in perfect songs piece by piece as number one could (should) be. Spring is in arrival and this CD provides for butterflies already in the abdomen. An absolute risk basis for my final list.
The CD is available at CD Baby

I love the Google translation from Dutch to English.

Reading that hurt my brain. It was like Yoda was reviewing the thing. At least, got it, he did.

Way to go, T!
Here's my shot at the translation:
Terry Anderson is an old-fashioned song smith. Most people will know him as the man behind hits like Battleship Chains (Georgia Satellites) and I love you Period (Dan Baird). But with his own band, The Olympic Ass-Kickin’ Team, he has been making hits for years too, which unfortunately do not reach the top. The OAK Team moves in between Stones, Faces, Chuck Berry and Dave Edmunds. Timeless rock 'n roll. On this new CD, National Champions, there are a few visits to soul, too. Terry Anderson even outclasses the Stones on this one. In Is we or ain’t we, an echo of the Who is to be heard. Anderson was sometimes in the past capable of putting in a few adolescent songs, but fortunately on this CD there are none. What remains is a consistent CD full of pop, rock 'n roll, roots and soul, packed in perfect songs which could (and should) be number one hits one by one. Spring is in the air and this CD puts butterflies in your stomach. A certain competitor for my year list.

You'll know how sometimes a song get stuck in your head and stay there even though you don't have the music in your ears. But with "National Champions" it's not just one song that's stuck it's the whole album.

Terry, you and the other olympic ass kickers must get your asses over to Europe for some shows. Do you want some tips of booking agents that seems to be into good rock music?

Rock on
