Love from the N&O

In advance of our show tonight, David Menconi wrote some love about our new record in the state paper, The (Raleigh) News and Observer:
The latest album from Terry Anderson's Olympic Ass-Kickin' Team is called "National Champions" (Doublenaught Records), but the nation Anderson rules is one whose borders are not easily discernible from afar. Instead, it consists of dives from coast to coast, where bar bands ply their trade on a quest for the perfect three-chord rave-up. And Anderson is king of that country, with an album focused more on song craft and less on punchlines. Anderson's high-spirited humor is still there, however, as is his unerring instinct for the killer chukka-chukka hook. So if you find yourself pining for the Small Faces, say, that spirit lives on. You can even get a dose tonight, when Anderson and company open for the Bottle Rockets at Raleigh's Berkeley Cafe.
Thanks David!
