Cronkite

Don’t overlook the death of Walter Cronkite. I grew up with the man on my TV EVERY evening for what seemed like forever. As much as Johnny Carson, Walter was the MAN for years across America. He was the most trusted voice in American media probably of all time. I watched him cry on air upon learning of a president’s death and saw him speechless when we landed on the moon. He had the best voice for the job and he used it eloquently and gracefully. And I’ll never forget his daily count of American troop deaths in Vietnam. You could tell it hurt him to report each and every one.
